The Riverfront Dragon Boat and Asian Festival celebrates its 16th year with a free family friendly event offering a unique celebration of Asian culture highlighted by the exciting sport of dragon boat racing. In 2000, Riverfront Recapture held its first Dragon Boat Festival and recruited 30 local teams to compete in a 1-day, community-based race. Since then the Riverfront Dragon Boat & Asian Festival has come a long way, and we are proud to be considered one of the Top 10 Dragon Boat Festivals in the United States. In addition to dragon boat racing, our festival offers a variety of live Asian entertainment, abundant ethnic food, martial arts demonstrations, and authentic cultural programming.
