Dragon boating is the fastest growing on-water sport in the world, fun for adults of all ages and fitness levels. This class is beneficial for beginners and seasoned paddlers alike. Class components will include safety, paddling skills, history, and communication of dragon boating, as well as the enjoyment of the natural environment and wildlife of the Connecticut River. Our coaches/steerspersons refine participant’s technique through a variety of on-water paddling exercises and work to create a team atmosphere in the boat.
The class consists of eight 90-minute sessions, $150 per participant.

Do I need to bring anything?
No, we provide all equipment.
What should I wear?
Wear clothing that is comfortable, allows freedom of movement and weather/exercise appropriate: sweatpants and long-sleeve shirts on cooler days; shorts and t-shirts during warm weather. Dragon boating is a water sport and you will get wet. Dress in comfortable clothing, allowing freedom of movement and shoes that can be worn in wet conditions. No sandals or open-toed shoes. Jewelry, watches, cell phones, and other valuables should be left at home or locked in your vehicle.
What amenities are provided?
The boathouse features showers for those who would like to clean up and/or change clothes. Please remember that the boathouse and the park are public places, and valuables should never be left unattended. You may bring a lock to use on a locker during the class period, but you must take the lock with you when you are done.
