On Water: 


Sunset Kayak Paddle | $45 per person 
Great River Park, Fridays, July 5, 19 & 26, 5:45 - 7:30 pm
Riverside Park, Mondays, August 12, 19 & 26, 5:45 - 7:30 pm
Kayaking on the Connecticut River is a great way to de-stress and stay active after a long day at work. This guided kayaking trip will showcase our parks and trails from the water, and set your mind and body up for a beautiful weekend. Kayak and PFD provided, all registrants must know how to swim. Previous paddling experience required. 

Guided Canoe Trip | $25 per person
Great River Park, Saturdays, July 6, 20 & 27,  4 - 6 pm
Riverside Park, Monday, July 22, 5:45 - 7:30 pm, Sunday, August 18 & Saturdays, August 24 & 31, 1 - 3 pm
See the beauty of our parks and the Connecticut River on a scenic guided canoe trip. This two-hour trip departs heads south on the Connecticut River and then up the Hockanum, returning to the park you departed from. Space is limited. Canoe and PFD provided, all registrants must know how to swim. 

Intro to Canoeing | $25 per person
Saturday, July 20, August 24 & 31 & Sunday, August 18, 9 am - 11 am
Have you always wanted to learn how to canoe? This intro class starts with 30 minutes on land, learning the basics of canoe safety, and then it’s out on to the water. Canoe and PFD provided, all registrants must know how to swim. Meet in Great River Park.  

Intro to Kayaking | $45 per person
Saturday, July 27, 9 - 11 am
Learn to kayak this summer! This intro class starts with 30 minutes on land, learning the basics of kayak safety, and then it’s out on to the water. Kayak/PFD provided, all registrants must know how to swim.

Back to Basics: Maps & Compasses | $25 per person
Sunday, July 28, 9 am - 12 pm
Would you be lost without Google Maps? Learn how to use a compass, read topographic maps, and then apply what you’ve learned to navigate the trails in Riverside Park. Meet on the Boathouse Patio in Riverside Park.

Mindful Hike | $12 per person
August 14, Great River Park
Leave your phone and the distractions of daily life behind on this quiet, meditative hike that fosters a stronger connection with the natural world.

Full Moon Hike |  $15 per person
August 15, 8:30 - 10:30 pm
Experience the beauty of our parks and trails by the light of the moon on a guided nighttime hike along the beautiful Connecticut River. Be sure to bring your camera, the full moon hike provides spectacular views, and we'll frequently stop to take photos of the nighttime landscape. Meet on the Boathouse patio in Riverside Park.

Birding Basics |  $12 per person
August 21 & 28 , 5:45 - 7:45 pm
Have you ever seen a bird and asked yourself “What is that?” Find the answer to that question and more while learning the basics of bird identification and binoculars while hiking and looking for eagles, red-tailed hawks, kingfishers, sparrows and more. Meet in the parking lot at Great River Park.
