March Hikes & Explorations

There so much more to explore in our parks. Join us for one, or all, of these programs!

Eagle Exploration | Saturday, March 16, 8 - 10 am | $10 per person

Over 100 species of birds can be found in our parks along the Connecticut River, including the majestic eagle. Learn the basics of birding and binoculars as we look for pairs of nesting eagles along the banks of the river, as well as ducks, birds of prey, and songbirds on this 3.5 mile hike. Meet in the parking lot at Great River Park.

SOLD OUT - REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR OUR NEXT FULL MOON HIKE ON APRIL 20
Full Moon Hike | Wednesday, March 20, 8 - 10 pm | $10 per person

Experience the beauty of our parks and trails by the light of the moon on a guided nighttime hike along the beautiful Connecticut River. Be sure to bring your camera, the full moon hike provides spectacular views, and we'll frequently stop to take photos of the nighttime landscape. Meet on the Boathouse patio in Riverside Park.

Hoppy Hike | Wednesday, March 27, 5 - 8 pm | $25 per person | 21+
This hike starts on our trails and ends with a flight of beer. Spend two hours on the lookout for eagles, beaver, deer and other wildlife, talk about the history of the river and then head to Hanging Hills Brewery for a post-hike flight of beer. Meet on the Boathouse patio in Riverside Park.

New programs will be announced in late March.

Proceeds from these programs support our mission: to connect people to the Connecticut River.
