From North of Hartford, take I-91 South to Exit 31, State St. The pedestrian staircase and elevator to the Plaza are on your left when you reach the end of the exit ramp. To continue to the Morgan Street parking garage, go straight through the intersection and take your first right onto Market St. At the second intersection, turn right onto Talcott St. The entrance to the Morgan Street garage is on your left.

From South of Hartford, take I-91 North to Exit 32B, Trumbull St. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Market St and pass under the elevated highway. Take your second left onto Talcott Street. Parking is available in the Morgan Street garage on your left. To continue to the Plaza, turn right onto Columbus Blvd and the pedestrian staircase and elevator to the Plaza will be on your left at the intersection of Columbus Blvd and State St.

From East of Hartford, take I-84 West to Exit 54, Downtown Hartford and the Founders Bridge. The main pedestrian staircase and elevator to the Plaza are on your left at the end of the Founders Bridge. To reach the Morgan Street parking garage, go straight through the intersection and take your first right onto Market St. At the second intersection, turn right onto Talcott St. The entrance to the Morgan Street garage is on your left.

From West of Hartford, take I-84 East to Exit 50, Main Street. At the end of Ramp go straight onto Chapel St. and then take your third right onto Market St. Take your first left onto Talcott Street. Parking is available in the Morgan Street garage on your left. To continue to the Plaza, turn right onto Columbus Blvd, and the main pedestrian staircase to the Plaza will be on your left at the intersection of Columbus Blvd and State St.

PARKING

The Plaza does not have it’s own parking lot.  Parking is available at Hartford area garages, on-street parking, or you can park in East Hartford and take the short walk over the Founders Bridge Promenade.

CT Science Center/ Riverfront Garage - located next to the Plaza, this garage provides the most direct and convenient access to Riverfront Mortensen Plaza. (Handicap accessible)
$7 - $9 Event Rate (subject to change) Hours: 6AM - 8PM, Monday-Friday, 8AM- 6PM, Saturday and Sunday.  Please note:  This garage closes one hour after the conclusion of Riverfront events.

Handicap Accessibility to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza

Mortensen Riverfront Plaza visitors requiring handicap accessibilty should use the elevator located on Columbus Boulevard. The entrance to the elevator is to the right of the staircase.  For handicap visitors who park in the Ct Science Center/Riverfront Garage, the garage itself has an elevator to the Plaza level.

DIRECTIONS

From North of Hartford, take I-91 South to Exit 33, Jennings Rd. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Jennings Rd and then take your first right onto Liebert Rd. The park entrance is on your left.

From South of Hartford, take I-91 North to Exit 33, Jennings Rd. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Jennings Rd and then take your first right onto Liebert Rd. The park entrance is on your left.

From East of Hartford, take I-84 West to Exit 51, I-91 North and then take Exit 33, Jennings Rd. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Jennings Rd and then take your first right onto Liebert Rd. The park entrance is on your left.

From West of Hartford, take I-84 East to Exit 51, I-91 North and then take Exit 33, Jennings Rd. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Jennings Rd and then take your first right onto Liebert Rd. The park entrance is on your left.

Free parking available within the Park. Public parking is available within the park. Designated parking is available for functions held at the Greater Hartford Jaycees Community Boathouse (located in Riverside Park).

From South of Hartford, take I-91 North to Exit 27, Airport Rd / Brainard Rd. At the end of the ramp, continue straight onto Murphy Road. Go straight through the next intersection and the park entrance is on your right, under the Charter Oak Bridge.

From East of Hartford, take I-84 West to Rt 5 / 15 & I-91 South Exit across the Charter Oak Bridge.  After crossing over the Connecticut River, take Exit 87, Airport Rd / Brainard Rd. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Airport Rd, and then take your second left onto Reserve Rd. The park entrance is on your right under the Charter Oak Bridge.

From West of Hartford, take I-84 East to Exit 52, I-91 South to Exit 27, Airport Rd. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Airport Rd. At the end of Airport Rd, turn left onto Brainard Rd, and then take your first left onto Reserve Rd. The park entrance is on your right under the Charter Oak Bridge.

From North of Hartford, take I-91 South to Exit 30, I-84 East to East Hartford and Glastonbury. Take Exit 53, East River Dr / Rt 44 and follow the exit ramp signs for East River Dr. At the end of ramp, turn right onto East River Dr. The park entrance is on your right.

From South of Hartford, take I-91 North to Exit 29, Rt 5 / 15 & I-84 to East Hartford and Manchester across the Charter Oak Bridge. Take Exit 90 and bear right at the ramp split following the signs for East River Dr / Rt 2 West. Take Exit 4 off Rt 2 onto East River Dr. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto East River Dr and pass under the highway. The park entrance is on your left.

From East of Hartford, take I-84 West to Exit 54, Downtown Hartford. Take the Darlin St. exit before crossing the Founders Bridge. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Darlin St. At the end of Darlin St, turn right onto Pitkin St. At the end of Pitkin St, turn left onto East River Dr. The park entrance is on your right.
 
From West of Hartford, take I-84 East to Exit 53, East River Dr / Rt 44 and follow the exit ramp signs to East River Dr. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto East River Dr. The park entrance is on your right.

• Take Exit 29A - Capitol Area / Convention Center (Left Exit)
• Merge onto Whitehead Highway, move to the right lane
• Take Columbus Blvd Exit (Right Exit)
• Take left onto Columbus Blvd.

Directions from 91 South

• Take Exit 29A - Capitol Area / Convention Center (Right Exit)
• Merge onto Whitehead Highway, move to the right lane
• Take Columbus Blvd Exit (Right Exit)

Directions from 84 East

• Follow I-84 East to I-91 South
• Take Exit 29A - Capitol Area / Convention Center (Right Exit)

Directions from 84 West

• Follow I-84 West and take the Downtown Hartford Exit (Left Lane Exit) This will take you onto the Founders Bridge
• At the end of the bridge, turn left onto Columbus Blvd.

Directions from Route 2

• Take Route 2 West to the Downtown Hartford exit (which becomes the Founders Bridge)
• At the end of the bridge turn left onto Columbus Blvd.

Park in any visitor spot in our parking lot. If full, proceed to back parking lot.
