Stern Architects, The Front Street District is the final component of Adriaen’s Landing, a major public and private economic development project that has transformed the landscape of downtown Hartford.

Big Mo’ 2010 will give you a sneak preview of what awaits you in the Front Street District’s exciting restaurant and entertainment venues.  These spaces, plus a planned second phase of residential and retail development, will complete the vision for the Adriaen’s Landing District.  We’ll show you what’s been done—and what’s yet to come.  Enjoy the tastes that summer events bring to the Riverfront parks as well as lively entertainment reflective of what you’ll witness during the various summer festivals on the river.

MORE ABOUT THE FRONT STREET DISTRICT AND THE RIVERFRONT

Our host The Front Street District is located directly across Columbus Boulevard from the Connecticut Convention Center and the Marriot Hotel.  The project will include 150,000 square feet (65,000 sq. ft. in Phase I of construction) of building area that will be occupied by restaurant, entertainment and retail spaces.

Riverfront Recapture is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring public access to the riverfront along the Connecticut River in Hartford and East Hartford.  Our four parks, which cover seven miles of pristine shoreline and 148 acres, are connected by a growing network of riverwalks.  In addition to physically constructing the parks, Riverfront is also responsible for managing, maintaining and programming the parks, producing events and offering activities that serve hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.  Proceeds from Big Mo’ support Riverfront Recapture’s youth programs and many free public events and festivals.
