Due to the construction-related road closure of Reserve Road, Charter Oak Landing will be closed to vehicular traffic Friday, October 18 through Monday, October 21. The park will be accessible to pedestrians and bicycles.
One of the largest and most successful Master’s Racing Teams in the area, Riverfront Recapture’s Men’s and Women’s teams are comprised of a wide range of individuals, from recently graduated collegiate rowers to retirees who learned to row at Riverfront to high school students who steer the boats.
2017: Our men's team WON USRowing's Masters Nationals, garnering 16 golds, seven silvers, and four bronzes while outpacing perennial powerhouses like the Texas Rowing Center and Potomac Boat Club. Overall, the Riverfront men's and women’s combined points added up to a fourth-place finish in Oak Ridge TN. The men's team club 4+ medaled at the Head of the Charles (the world's largest regatta) and attended Club Nationals in Bethel, OH.
2016: Our Men's Team placed fifth out of 81 teams at the largest Masters Nationals in history (this event just keeps growing!) and their club 4+ placed eighth out of 48 at the Head of the Charles. Our Women's Team, over 24 women ranging in age from 23 to nearly 70, many of whom learned to row as adults at Riverfront, also competed at all the regional and national events
2015: Over 50 Riverfront competitors participated in USRowing's Masters Nationals in Camden, NJ. Men's Club 4+, Women's Club 4+ and Men's Masters 8+ qualified at the HOCR.
2014: 21 members of Riverfront's Men's Team competed at USRowing's Masters Nationals in Grand Rapids, Michigan and placed 5th out of 60 clubs in the Men's Team Points standings
2013: 24 men earned 2nd in the Men's Team Point standings at Masters Nationals in Sarasota, FLA.
2012: 60 Riverfront rowers from both our Men's and Women's Teams competed at the largest Masters Nationals in history in Worcester, MA; Riverfront placed 9th in overall team points out of 145 different clubs from 36 states.
2011: The women’s team medaled in the Club 4+ event at the Head of the Charles (the world's largest regatta) in Boston, MA.
