Rowing classes and teams are open to students in grades 8 through 12. Intermediate and Experienced classes are for those with at least one month's of rowing experience. While it is unlikely participants will wind up in the water, it is possible so all participants must know how to swim.
Our youth rowing program blends urban and suburban participants who practice and race together, giving both groups the opportunity to learn from one another in our own version of a magnet school for rowers. We offer both recreational programs and competitive racing teams. Past rowers have earned rowing scholarships to college, participated on US Junior National Development Teams, and earned invitations to the prestigious USRowing Youth Nationals.
